Peter J. Wilby, CFA
Co-Chief Investment Officer of SHIP Strategies

Peter Wilby is the co-chief investment officer of SHIP strategies and co-founder of Stone Harbor Investment Partners, an affiliated manager of Virtus Investment Partners.
Prior to founding Stone Harbor in 2006, Mr. Wilby was a chief investment officer of North American Fixed Income at Citigroup Asset Management, as well as a member of Citigroup Asset Management’s executive committee. Additionally, he served as senior portfolio manager responsible for directing investment policy and strategy for all emerging markets debt and high yield portfolios. Before joining Citigroup, Mr. Wilby was the head of fixed income, a senior portfolio manager for emerging markets debt and high yield, and a member of the investment policy committee at Salomon Brothers Asset Management. Earlier in his career, Mr. Wilby was a fixed income portfolio manager specializing in high yield debt securities at Prudential Investment Co., and also held the role of director of the credit research unit, responsible for all corporate and sovereign credit research. He began his career at Deloitte, Haskin & Sells where he served in the Audit and Tax Department.
Mr. Wilby earned a B.B.A. and an M.B.A. in accounting from Pace University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society New York. Mr. Wilby is a certified public accountant. He began working in the investment industry in 1980.
James E. Craige, CFA
Co-Chief Investment Officer, Head of Emerging Markets

Jim Craige is a co-chief investment officer, head of emerging markets, and co-founder of Stone Harbor Investment Partners, an affiliated manager of Virtus Investment Partners. In this role. Mr. Craige heads a team that manages emerging markets and global high yield portfolios for institutions including public and private pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, and insurance companies globally.
Prior to helping found Stone Harbor in 2006, Mr. Craige was a managing director and senior portfolio manager for emerging markets debt, and a member of the investment policy committee at Citigroup Asset Management. He held similar positions at Salomon Brothers, which he joined in 1992, prior to it being purchased by Citigroup in 1998. He began his career as a fixed income trading associate at Lehman Brothers in 1989.
Mr. Craige earned a B.S. in finance from the University of Vermont and serves on the Board of Advisors for the Grossman School of Business. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) charterholder and member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society New York. He began working in the investment industry in 1988.
Darin Batchman

Darin Batchman is a portfolio manager for emerging markets corporate debt at Stone Harbor Investment Partners, an affiliated manager of Virtus Investment Partners.
Prior to joining Stone Harbor in 2011, Mr. Batchman was a director of Latin America integrated credit trading at Deutsche Bank Securities where he was responsible for structured debt and equity transactions for Latin American corporates, as well as managing all phases of transactions including initial pitches, pricing, due diligence, legal documentation, and syndication. Before joining Deutsche Bank, Mr. Batchman held roles as a director and senior vice president of equity strategies at Lehman Brothers, Inc. / Barclays Capital and as an associate director of emerging markets fixed income research at Bear Stearns & Co. Inc. In previous roles, Mr. Batchman served as an emerging markets fixed income analyst at Orix USA, and subsequently as a vice president and head of emerging markets corporate research at BCP Securities. Earlier in his career, Mr. Batchman was a high yield research associate in the emerging markets group at Credit Suisse First Boston/ Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and held the role of high yield research associate at the Banque Nationale de Paris in New York. He began his career as an investment banking associate at Deutsche Bank Securities.
Mr. Batchman earned a B.S. in business administration from Kansas State University and an M.B.A with an emphasis in finance from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University. He began working in the investment industry in 1997.
Kumaran Damodaran, PhD

Kumaran Damodaran is a portfolio manager for emerging markets debt, global sovereign, and asset allocation at Stone Harbor Investment Partners, an affiliated manager of Virtus Investment Partners.
Prior to joining Stone Harbor in 2015, Mr. Damodaran was the lead emerging markets macro portfolio manager at GLG Partners in London. Previously, he was an executive vice president and emerging markets portfolio manager at PIMCO in Newport Beach, California. Before joining PIMCO, Mr. Damodaran was a senior vice president and trader in Latin American local market rates at Lehman Brothers in New York. Earlier in his career, he served as a director at Credit Suisse where he held various positions in emerging markets credit, rates, and currency derivatives trading in both London and New York.
Mr. Damodaran earned a Ph.D. in theoretical physics from Cambridge University as a Marshall Scholar and National Science Foundation graduate fellow. He earned an A.B. in physics with a certificate in applied and computational mathematics from Princeton University. He began working in the investment industry in 2000.
David Griffiths

Prior to joining Stone Harbor in 1993, Mr. Griffiths was a senior portfolio manager, economist, and investment policy committee member for Salomon Brothers Asset Management. His responsibilities included targeted analysis of client portfolios to identify market opportunities and hedging strategies, as well as the analysis and evaluation of alternative asset allocation strategies. Previously, he monitored European economic and interest rate developments for Salomon Brothers Inc. and served as a regular contributor to numerous research publications for international bond market research.
Mr. Griffiths earned a B.A. in economics and statistics from Exeter University. He began working in the investment industry in 1986.
Richard Lange is a portfolio manager for emerging markets corporate debt at Stone Harbor Investment Partners, an affiliated manager of Virtus Investment Partners.
Prior to joining Stone Harbor in 2010, Mr. Lange was as a trader for Autonomy Capital Group in London where he was responsible for private equity and debt investments in emerging market corporates. Before joining Autonomy Capital, Mr. Lange was the director for Latin America corporate credit trading at Deutsche Bank.
Mr. Lange earned a B.A. in finance and accounting from the Institut Commercial Superieur in Paris and an M.B.A. from the executive program at Columbia University. He began working in the investment industry in 2002.

He continues to have portfolio management responsibilities for Stone Harbor branded accounts under both the Newfleet and Stone Harbor divisions of VFIA. Before joining Stone Harbor, Mr. Lavan was a managing director and senior portfolio manager responsible for U.S. governments, mortgages, and asset-backed securities at Citigroup Asset Management. Previously, Mr. Lavan served as an investment policy committee member at Salomon Brothers Asset Management and as a research analyst for institutional investment grade fixed income for Salomon Brothers Inc.
Mr. Lavan earned a B.S. in management from State University of New York at Geneseo and an M.B.A from Fordham University. He is a CFA® (Chartered Financial Analyst®) charterholder. He began his career in the investment industry in 1985.

Stuart Sclater-Booth is a portfolio manager for emerging markets debt, global sovereign, and asset allocation at Stone Harbor Investment Partners, an affiliated manager of Virtus Investment Partners.
Prior to joining Stone Harbor in 2014, Mr. Sclater-Booth was a managing director / head of emerging markets desk strategy at Goldman Sachs. Before joining Goldman Sachs, he served as executive director / global head of emerging markets macro strategy at J.P. Morgan Chase Securities. There, he held a series of roles, including executive director of emerging markets proprietary trading and vice president / head of trade strategy. Earlier in his career, Mr. Sclater-Booth was a research assistant in the U.S. macro research department at PaineWebber and an assistant economist in the domestic research department at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
Mr. Sclater-Booth earned a B.A. in economics from Vassar College and an M.A. in economics from Boston University. He began working in the investment industry in 1992.

He continues to have portfolio management responsibilities for Stone Harbor branded accounts under both the Newfleet and Stone Harbor divisions of VFIA. Before joining Stone Harbor, Mr. Scott was a managing director, investment policy committee member and head of the traditional investment group responsible for the traditional bond product at Salomon Brothers Asset Management. Prior to that, he served as a global fixed income portfolio manager at J.P. Morgan Investment Management. Earlier in his career, Mr. Scott served as a U.S. dollar portfolio manager at Mercury Asset Management and held the role of a consultant actuary for the Wyatt Company.
Mr. Scott earned a B.Sc. in mathematics and economics from Nottingham University in England. He began his career in the investment industry in 1983.

Mr. Torchia earned a B.S. in industrial engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and an M.B.A in finance from Lehigh University. He began his career in the investment industry in 1984.
